Meenakshi jaya Kamakshi — Kankatika vamakshi — Appradhipa probha vonnatha — madhura madhura salamkara — Omkara Kalitha tabha — yudd ha mithra madu Kaitapa — Kanda chanda dandanu janu
(Meenakshi jaya)
Madaya valu Karthikeya janani — jaya Kathyani Kali Rudrani — Veena nigvani nakha sikaram — jaya mudirabham madhurap priya Sokkanada swamy maruthe
Meaning:
You have eyes like the fish. May there be auspiciousness. You have eyes which fulfill the desires of devotees. Your eyes are enchanting. You are the best among the matchless. Your speech accompanies omkar and it is very sweetly decorated.
You have fearful long hands capable of killing the war-loving madhu and kaitaba. You are the mother of elephant-faced vinayaka and Subramanya. May there be auspiciousness. Kathyayini, hey kali! rudhra priya! You have sweet voice like that of veena. Your nails shine like the lightning in your body which looks like clouds.
You are the mistress of Lord Sokkanatha, who like staying in Madurapuri.

nice work…….
there is a very beautiful song in malayalam …please hear
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuMy3DncDwo
In line 5, it is –
R , P M /, P/ R P P M/ R G R S.
It is NOT
R , P M/ P ,/ R P P M/ R G R S.
Otherwise, WONDERFUL JOB!
From the webmaster:
Thanks for the comment.
The first line was missing and probably caused the confusion. :
M M P , | P , | N P N N | S , S , ||
Mee – na – | kshi – | ja ya ka – | ma – kshi – ||
The above has been added now.
This approach of singing the swarams (with text provided below) followed by the actual song is VERY VERY Good. My best wishes to you and prayers to GOD almighty to make you do more such excellent work.
Very Great! Helped me learn the song better!!

Shouldn’t the Avarohanam be Av: S N2 P D2 N2 P M1 R2 G2 R2 S for Sree Ragam?
There are 2 ways to sing it. Any way is accepted
Thank you for posting this beautiful composition along with the music. It was very helpful. 🙂
Actually, there are different variations of this, so not a single version can be correct.
